Telecom Company in secret talks with singers for surprise first Anniversary. Telecom players Orange have lined up either American singing sensation Phil Collins or Dance-hall king Beenie Man for their surprise first anniversary. We have reliably learnt that the top orange Telecom bosses are in touch with the agents of both the big name artistes to strike deals. However, they want one of the two. If Beenie Man gets the node, then Orange will organise the carnival along the streets of Kampala. When Orange launched in Uganda, they organised a carnival that featured ragga/reggae star Shaggy. On the other hand if the good deal with Shaggy goes through, then a more corporate type of show will be the real deal. Meanwhile Telly star Mylz Rwamiti is set to land a mega cash deal as the new face of Gyekiri Promotion. We hear the fella is in negotiations with the telecom dealers for the deal. Movie translator VJ Jingo has landed a deal to emcee at Orange's nationwide dos. Wednesday, March 17 2010
Singer Dr.Jose Chameleone is flying to Jamaica to shoot the video of his collaboration song with the world's dance-hall king Beanie Man. Last year when the Jamaican Superstar was here for his Crown Beverages-sponsored concert, he recorded a song with our music doctor. The song was recorded in Dream Studios but Beenie Man had some fine tuning to do in his studio in Jamaica. Now that's done and he has invited Chameleone to shoot the video. A Leone Island source reveals: "Chameleoene is set to leave for Jamaica to work on the video of his upcoming song with dance-hall sensation Beenie Man. He is so excited about it." The much anticipated and long awaited hit that was done by Jamaican dance-hall king Beenie Man and Dr. Jose Chameleone might be dead and buried for sure. The collabo which was expected to be out late last year or early this year is reportedly stuck in the studios. Beenie has shunned Dr. Jose who has tried in vain to communicate so that they finish up the hit. We hear Chameleone sent the first lyrics of the song that was recorded from Dream Studios to Jamaica so that Beenie can polish them into a top hit. But four months down the road, Beenie Man claims he is too busy with his projects to follow up on collabos. Chameleone though has vowed he will not a stay put till he gets the song out. Fingers crossed for you Jose!
