Wizkid fails to make it to Kampala

WizKid fans were all set for the show that was to take place today at Lugogo but the show has been cancelled.

Star Times and the organisers of the show, Face TV, have issued statements to that effect, they are sorry and are working on a refund strategy. WizKid has also apologized to his fans in Uganda.

WizKid apologizes to Ugandans

"We regret to inform you and all of our esteemed fans that WizKid is unable to fly to Uganda for the show as planned on December 3rd, due to her unforeseen circumstances. We have been in constant communication with WizKid himself and are in the process of rescheduling the concert for a later date this month."

"As soon as it is finalized we will inform you of when the concert date will be."

Other sources claim the reason behind the cancellation has nothing to do with missing a flight, WizKid was paid a whooping $3m to record an album for Sony Music but on presenting the final piece, it was below their expectations. He was asked to do the work again, unfortunately, it was around the time he was to perform in Kampala.

It was quite a cost for the organisers to charter a flight from the US for the singer to be in Kampala today and be in the US on Monday.

Local singer, Big Eye, is having a concert today, he was so worried fans were ending up at Lugogo but with WizKid failing to come, the Nkuziniremu singer is having the last laugh.
