Kenzo leads 2015 AFRIMMA nominations

The African Music Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) are back and the Sitya Loss star, Eddy Kenzo, is leading the Ugandan nominees with four (4) nominations, Bebe Cool (2), Juliana (3) and Chameleone (2). Others nominated include; MC Norman, Nash Wonder and DJ Shiru.

Kenzo will go head-to-head against Bebe Cool in the 'Best Male East Africa' category as they tussle it out with Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania and Jaguar from Kenya. Kenzo is also nominated in the Best Collaboration and the top Artist of the Year.

Juliana Kanyomozi followed with three nods, Video of the year, Afrimma Inspirational song and Best Female East Africa.

Chameleone, and Bebe Cool follow with two nominations each. Bebe Cool's love you everyday will compete with Juliana's 'Woman' for the 'Video of the Year' category. Juliana, is also nominated in the 'Best Female East Africa' category alongside with the Gyobera singer, Irene Ntale.

Star singer Chameleone is lined up with little known Mc Norman in the Best Dance Hall Artist category. DJ Shiru is nominated for Best DJ Africa while Nash Wonder is nominated for Producer of the year...

In the Artist of the Year category, Eddy Kenzo will be battling with other top 9 artists in Africa that include: Flavour from Nigeria, Diamond Platnumz from Nigeria, Sarkodi, Ghana, Cassper Nyovest from South Africa (they meet again), Davido Nigeria, Fally Ipupa Congo, WizKid Nigeria, Bucie South Africa and Yemi Alade from Nigeria.

The awarding event will take place on October 10, 2015, hosted by Basket Mouth and co-hosted by our very own Anne Kansiime.
