Hajat Madinah of the Bibuuza fame is in a critical condition and she is appealing for help from fans and well-shers. Two weeks back, she was in Mulago Hospital and then Kadic Hospital, but according to what the doctors told her, it was all shocking. "I need your prayers because as of now, I'm at God's mercy..I'm so hurt, I might not be able to sing again," Madinah said from her home on Salaama road in Makindye. Doctors are trying to dissolve a blood clot in her head but as the clot tries to break loose, Madinah is now suffering from fatigue and slurred speech. You can hardly make sense of what the musician is trying to communicate. Matters are made worse as she cannot move without being supported. That is very sad indeed for an artist who depends on music to earn. Hajjat Madinah started off her career with Bebe Cool's Gagamel Crew, crossed to Revival Band where she accused her bosses of giving her peanuts, 50k per performance to be exact, an amount she claimed wasn't sustainable. Madinah then joined Eddy Kenzo's Big Talent and later, Haruna Mubiru's Kream Productions but quit all of them citing similar problems. In 2012 when her Bibuuza song was playing on all TV and Radio stations, she was using a chopper to go places while advertising the launch for the song but to her dismay, she only got 20k as the rest of the money ended up with her bosses. At the time, she could move with bouncers, but now, it's like her song Bibuuza haunting her. This is coming at the time when the Uganda music industry is experiencing the worst of times.
