Rosemary Nankabirwa dies after cancer battle

Updated: The body of Rosemary will arrive on Monday night and on Tuesday, (April 14) at ~~9:00am~~ 2:00pm, there will be a service at Christ the King church and burial will be on Wednesday in Kanoni Masaka.

The doctors at Mulago Cancer Institute have done all they could, but Rosemary who was battling Adrenal Cancer and Diabetes could not make it. Rosemary's family confirmed the former NTV news anchor had passed away on Sunday, April 12.

Yesterday, friends and family including the President contributed towards her treatment and later that afternoon, she was flown to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, but unfortunately, she could not make it.

NTV news anchor, Josephine Karungi, has been so instrumental in this cause and this is what she had to say;

"Thank you for all your support. I believe she is smiling down on you and thinking what wonderful people you all are. I am sad she couldn't thank you herself.

She has rested. The fight against cancer doesn't end though. We continue doing what we can. All the contributions that came in after will go to the family to help them through this.

Blessings to you all and again...Thank you for standing with Rosemary."
