Chameleone was the first to take to the podium saying that he had shed all the tears there was for him, and now, all he was doing was to comfort the rest during the hard times.
Pallaso - He was next to the podium speaking on behalf of Team No Sleep which him, Sheebah, King Saha and now Akay the late are signed to. In his message, he thanked Jose Chameleone for having brought the mic to the family which all of them have emulated so well.
He also asked for forgiveness from his elder brother for the wrongs he had done before talking about Akay who he fondly referred to as Emma. Pius Mayanja aka told the mourners that they had a lot to share while growing up. He also revealed how Ak47 was forced to perform at gunpoint in South Sudan for several days, but still managed to come back only to die in this way.
Gerald Mayanja - Their dad said he was strong after one of his grand child told him that; "We will meet Emma in heaven," and for that reason alone, he was strong all through. Mzee Mayanja thanked all the mourners for their respective efforts in the funeral arrangements before turning to his fallen son, who was the youngest of his children.
"Of all my children, Emma was the only one who calls me, checks on me and also sends me mobile money regularly.. Even on coming home and he is armed with 50k, he would at least let me have 20k."
"From what I've seen in the last two days, I wonder what Uganda will be with the sort of youth we have, there is every need to change your behaviour, otherwise it's wanting..."
AK47's Mother - Thank you all and the artists for the input in my son's funeral. My children were bright but sturbon, so they did not go past A-level, so the locals could refer to them as ''Abadongo" that they were useless, but from what i've seen today, "Abadongo" are very useful people and young as Emma was, he is being given a decent send off.
AK47, Baby Mama - I'm going to take care of the twins and the 2-year-old boy and I'm also appealing to all those who may have Emma's children to bring them, I will take good care of them. AKay was not a fighter and we were God fearing in fact at the time of his death, he had just recorded a gospel song though the fans had not yet got wind of it but it will soon be on air.
At about 2:00pm, the service ended. They then proceeded to Mzee Mayanja's home in Sseguku Katale for the vigil. AK47 will be buried in Mityana on Thursday, March 19, 2015.
