Tanzania's Bongo flavour star, Diamond Platnumz, won big in last night's Channel O Music Video Awards (CHOMVA14). He took home three awards that include; Most Gifted New Comer for his 'Number One' song beating South Africa's Cassper Nyovest and others. The Number One song again won him the award of 'Most Gifted Afro Pop' running over the likes of Davido, Mafikizolo, Flavour and Iyanya. As if that was not enough, the Number One song, again won him yet another award 'Most Gifted East', a category which could have been taken by either Eddy Kenzo or Navio but we lost out. Eddy was riding on the Sitya Loss ticket while Navio was nominated for his No Holding Back song, but 'our in-law' was more than determined to take all the categories in which he was nominated. Unfortunately for Platnumz , he lost the biggest award of the night to Cassper who beat eleven others that include; Davido, K.O, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy among others. Meanwhile, at the awarding event, Platnumz was in the company of his mom and his new found love, Zari baby who is by the way 9 years older, but she is 'hotter than them' just like her song when she tried singing. Hmmmn Zari says that they have a project coming up with Diamond Platnumz, but not even Wema Sepetu is buying that talk, she has now resorted to fighting the mom of three; Wema and Diamond Platnumz Clash Over Zari
After showing Diamond Platnumz so much love, he is now the headlined guest at the Zari All White Party that will be held on December 18, 2014. Initially, we were being told there will be a surprise guest, but now not a surprise guest anymore, but Tanzania's top artiste will be here in December. In May this year, Platnumz set a record when he won 7 awards in the Tanzania Music Awards and in the just concluded Channel O Music Video Awards, it was only him and Cassper Nyovest who got three awards each.
