Today, all roads were leading to Bugembe in Jinja for the coronation of the Kyabazinga of Busoga bringing an end to a six year impasse. HRH Prince William Gabula Nadiope IV is now the Busoga King. President Museveni was the chief guest and stated why he graced this coronation.

"I commend the unity among chiefs while electing the Kyabazinga. However, some chiefs are not here, I urge you to unite. I ignored the first elections because there was no quorum. Am here now because the basics have been handled."

"I was informed that the Kyabazinga is well equipped with a vehicle for his use. He needs escorts. I have, therefore, instructed my people to organise two vehicles, front & back."

Ministers, Members of Parliament, representatives from different kingdoms among others were in Busoga to witness history in the making.

On the social scene, we are noticing some rather interesting developments. After carefully looking at his family tree, MC Kats came to learn that he was a royal of sorts, affiliated to the Busoga king, Gabula Nadiope. Model and socialite Doreen Kabareebe who studied from Busoga for her high school education spent a greater part of theday communicating fluently in Lusoga.

The Gyobera singer, Irene Ntale is so amazed with the king's looks as she congratulates the Basoga on this great day.
