The Catholic Church has added it’s voice to that of the lawyers who are demanding that Hillary Kiyagga aka Dr. Hilderman apologizes for using a Bishop’s attire at his music concert.

While launching his album, 'Sinze Ya Leeta Enaku' – Hilderman was clad in a bishop’s attire blessing his fans using the cross sign at a secular event. This did not go down well with a group of lawyers who have since been demanding for an apology from the Talidenka singer.

They have now been joined and backed up by the church which is equally demanding that Hilderman apologizes or faces the full wrath of the law.

Yesterday, Hilderman spoke out saying that his efforts to meet the Arch Bishop were frustrated by the Martyrs day celebrations, but through the Ug. Performing Artists & Musicians President, Benon Kibuuka, he wrote asking for more time as he was attending to up country shows with the Golden Band members.

“I have officially come out on radio and tv and apologized to those I affected and expressed that my intentions were not to degrade or disrespect my church. I will apologize to the right people not human beings that have issues with me.”

It should be noted that, similar attires have been used by Amooti Omulabanguzi of the Amarula family and Weasel in music videos, but they don’t seem to have any issues. Hilderman concludes that these are just politicians trying to use this as a platform for their 2016 political bids.
