Eagles Production Band are being forced to split after years of musical service, their manager, Moses Kavuma revealed. Geoffrey Lutaaya confirmed the breakup due to the new laws he termed as unbearable, though, he will stay in Eagles Production with his wife, Irene Namatovu.
The rest of the members that include among others: Mesach Semakula, Ronald Mayinja, Maureen Nantume, Stecia Mayanja, Grace Sekamatte, Catherine Kusasira, Fred Serugga and Jemimah Namatovu have crossed to Golden Production, a new band that has been formed after the breakup.
According to the official band profile on facebook, a message states that: "The Eagles Production Now Golden Production," a move that reminds us of how members of Phillip Luswata's Theatre Factory left the group to form the now, Fun Factory.
The band's Director, Geoffrey Luttaaya has made it clear that he cannot afford to see the name Eagles Production go off the music radar just like that and yet he has done so much to see them where they are in the last fifteen years.
In January, over five stag parties were held in and around the city plus a wedding reception in Masaka for Irene and Geoffrey Lutaaya that cost over 1bn shillings, could this be one of the reasons or Ronald Mayinja who called out for all the women with his children to come up, only time will tell.
