Peter Kasozi adds that; "Should the test results reveal that Paddy is not my son, I will respect that decision." However, some family members in Nansana, where Paddy was staying at the time of his death are accusing Nicholas aka Messe, one of the Amarula Family members for not being transparent and cooperative with the money or condolences. They have bills to clear.
"Mourners have been here for the last one week and we are short of funds to feed them and these Amarula members are not cooperating. All our efforts of demanding for funds are landing on deaf ears," one family member in Nansana said. When Nicholas heard this, he shot back.
"We are equally stuck as we do not know who to deal with between the Nansana family and the Magere family. We've been forced to bank the money on the Amarula account up to the time when police can advise us of which family to deal with."
We paid for the funeral services to the tune of 4.2m and the balance of 1.2m is safely banked. It could have been 1.4 but some of the notes were found to be counterfeit notes, Messe said.
Comedian Paddy died last Saturday and his body is still at Mulago Hospital morgue. He will be laid to rest after the DNA results are out.
