Post-mortem examination results have confirmed that Linah Keza, 29 died of stab wounds in the chest. Police is still holding a one 38-year-old David Kikaawa who handed himself in. He is the father to Linah's daughter, Holly.
Apparently, when neighbours heard her screaming for help on Wednesday morning, they came to her rescue only to find that she was lying in a pool of blood next to her crying daughter. One of the neighbour's who came to Linah's rescue heard her screaming; "kick the door open" and when he did, he found her attacker on his way out. He then rushed to help Linah but there was no pulse.
David and Linah were ex-lovers who met four years ago but split. Linah had moved on, though at the time, David was trying to reunite with her. Linah's cousin, Herbert Muhire who lives in Rwanda confirmed to one publication that: "David was the father to Holly but he was jealous and possessive. They were in close contact with each other now that they had a child together, however, he could tell her not to go to parties or talk to anyone."
According to neighbours, David was a regular visitor at the Rwanda-born model's flat until about two weeks back. Her home had a panic button fixed when she alerted the police about cases of domestic violence.
David Kikaawa is still being held for more questioning as Linah's case has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC). Plans are underway to have her body flown to Rwanda.
