The search for the next Miss Uganda 2013-2014 was launched yesterday at Serena Hotel. The prize car for the winner has now been upgraded from a Toyota Spacio to a Mercedes-Benz A class which will come with customised number plates.

"Interested Ladies between the ages of 18-25yrs with good moral conduct, done with Advanced level of Education, Ugandans by Nationality, not below 5'6'', not married nor have any children, and ready to represent Uganda internationally at the Miss World stage standing for beauty with a purpose are encouraged to apply", an official from Kezzi Entertainment said.

Application forms can be got from the Miss Uganda offices on 2nd street in Industrial area or the Miss Uganda facebook page. The winner will represent Uganda on September 28, 2013 at Sentual International Convetional Centre located at the outskirts of Jakarta in Indonesia.

Phiona Bizzu is the current Miss Uganda but before her, the following beauties have held the crown: Victoria Nabunya, Rehema Nakuya, Salma Nassanga, Barbara Kimbugwe, Kansiime Monica, Dora Mwima, Maria Namiiro and Sylvia Namutebi among others. You can get more information regarding Miss Uganda here.
