Eddy Kenzo's beach to be opened before end of year
"We will be opening our Beach before the end of this year Inshallah," Eddy Kenzo informed his fans.
Mandela Beach should be the name, one proposed. Like his grabber line suggests; "God First," Looks like everything he has touched has turned into gold. Last year was a great year for him with lots of hits and this year threatens to even be better.
He is on the move all the time performing in different countries. In the last one week, Kenzo was in Nairobi where he was appointed Kenya's Tourism Ambassador and also had a sold out show in Ethiopia.
Anne Kansiime, Radio and Weasel and of course Bobi Wine have all given beach business a try though Bobi Wine's One Love Beach stands out.

Chameleone to celebrate birthday at Cayenne
Star singer Jose Chameleone will tomorrow turn 38 and the birthday bash will be held at Cayenne. The singer has been touring various radio stations in the last few days answering questions from fans. The top most question has been whether or not Daniella is back.
The Sweet Banana singer assured his fans that Daniella is back and will actually attend his birthday bash at Cayenne. Yesterday, he was on NTV and today, the husky voiced singer was on Dembe FM that was broadcasting live at Bat Valley, he told the listeners and those in attendance that it's not right to compare a cat to a lion.
This was after some show hosts and those in the crowd told him of how Kenzo and David Lutalo were better than him. "Yes, I'm not number one anymore, I'm in the 100th position. They are good singers but you should not compare a cat to a lion.
He went to on to tell the listeners how he has over 30,000 fans in Uganda alone and he sings for those in the age bracket of 8-65. The youngsters can enjoy Double Trouble while those above 60 can enjoy Siri Mujawo. So when I take long without releasing a hit, the fans should understand.

Lovers Rema and Kenzo out new songs
Rema has just released her 'Yo Sweet' video while Kenzo is on the verge of releasing Jubilation and Terera.
Kenzo's video, Addicted, which he did with Jamaican American reggae singer and writer Alaine Laughton is already doing well...It was the most trending video on MTV Base after being lined up with Chameleone's Sweet Banana, Bebe Cool's Tombawala and Vanessa Mdee's No Mind Dem.
Meanwhile, Eddy Kenzo has been nominated in the BEA Awards in Nigeria, he is competing for the 'Best African Act' and 'Best Video of the Year'.

Today is Mya Musuza's birthday, she turns 5. Mya is Eddy Kenzo's child from another relationship, Rema had the most adorable birthday wish for her.
"Happy birthday sweetness. My super model. Love you angel Maya Musuuza.May Allah protect and guide you always love..."
Earlier on, Kenzo had shared this message on his wall; "Happy birthday maama wange Maya Musuza Mirembe. Daddy loves you so much...God is the greatest, Alhamudulilla.."

Sheila Don Zella real name Sheila Patience Nadede has been dominating tabloid news in the last three days telling whoever cares to know of what happened between her and Ibrahim Mayanja aka Big Eye. He is the father of her last born.
Big Eye was once signed to Eddy Kenzo's Big Talent crew where Sheila met him, the rest is history. Sheila has spilled all the dirty linen online leaving many in utter shock.
One thing that baffles Sheila most is the fact that Big Eye dumped her after doing so much for him ranging from promoting his music, and him as an artist...Matters were made worse when Sheila dumped her Zungu lover who is battling with a life threatening illness for Big Eye who unfortunately is not taking any of this but romping with Sasha Brighton.
Star singer, Eddy Kenzo, has had to echo some words to Sheila: "If you want to criticize, choose your words carefully. Don't be mean. Don't make personal remarks. Use kind & gentle words. Do it privately. Otherwise what goes around comes around. People will broadcast your failure but whisper your success. Enemies of progress,....may God deliver them."

The Sibya Mukisa singer, Rema Namakula, has showed off her valentine's gift for the first time. It's a white and black Merc-CLK.
She is joined by baby daddy, Eddy Kenzo, who attributes all his success to Allah. In the parking lot is the Big Talent Crew black van which leads the way just in case Kenzo has to be picked from the airport after winning a BET award or something similar as a result of his music.
Next is a Prado TX for the Dagala singer himself and a Merc for his baby mama..He captioned the pic as RIDES...
Meanwhile, everything in the pic below is spot on...The Shs500M house in the background, Rema's Ramadan fashion sense left most of her fans yearning for more of it. Rema played around with her colors so well right from the head gear to the high heel and the danglers earrings are a plus, no doubt, she was striking.
Eddy Kenzo was yesterday on NTV the Beat to premiere his Disco Disco video, his concert will be held at Hotel Africana on September 2, 2016

Fans to the Sitya Loss singer have advised him to drop his latest craze of flaunting huge wads of cash. Eddy Kenzo yesterday shared a pic of himself with wads of Ugandan and Tanzanian shillings following his successful show in Mutukula, the border of Tanzania and Uganda.

"Thank you Mutukula for both UGX and Tanzania money I'm forever grateful. Next stop, Kalisizo, " Kenzo captioned the pic. In the pic, the Soraye singer is holding Uganda and Tanzanian shillings.
It's not clear what was so special with this particular show because Kenzo has certainly performed at better venues for even better pay, we are still trying to figure out what is the cause of all this excitement. This was left to the likes of Ivan Semwanga, Meddie Ssentongo..
"I hate this behaviour of people exposing money on social media, Eddy Kenzo, choose to be a better a person, " one wrote in a comment that received close to 100 likes.
Kenzo seems to be borrowing a leaf from Chameleone. Not long back, the A.gata.ko singer was seen showing off wads of cash days to the December 18 One Million show.

Two years back, we reported that Eddy Kenzo had visited Rema Namakula's parents in what was believed to be a pre-introduction ceremony but Rema while appearing on NTV's Mwasuze Mutya program said it was not correct but when the time is right, the Sitya Loss singer will come home.
"He has not come to visit my parents but when the time is right he will do so, I was only performing at their home and that was me and his mom, then tabloids started writing about the pre-introduction ceremony but the truth is, he has not."
Looks like that time has come.
The latest info from the Big Talent camp is that the introduction ceremony will be held on August 14, 2016 followed by the wedding a week later. In the pic below, Rema is seen striking a pose with Kenzo's mom and Kenzo's comment sums it up.
No doubt, Rema has equally given him a beautiful daughter, Aamaal, and it's now time to put a ring on it. Veteran singer, Halima Namakula will play the role of a Ssenga like she did for Zari and Ivan who have since opted on going separate ways.
The wedding news is not so shocking considering the PDA the couple displayed at Fairway Hotel when Rema turned 25. During the bash, Kenzo's mom told him that it was long overdue you need to put a ring on it my son.
Monday, April 25 2016
Eddy Kenzo's baby mama, Rema Namakula added yet another year yesterday, she turned 25. It was a red and black birthday bash held at Fairway hotel in Kampala. David Lutaalo performed some of his tracks like 'So Nice' and 'Ujuuwe' that saw the birthday girl hit the floor with Kenzo.
As the couple drove to the venue, little did Rema know what was in store for her may be that explains the lack of red in her dress sense but it was the moment that Rema loved as Kenzo kept on planting hot kis.ses on her dimpled cheeks and forehead.
On arrival, Rema was shocked to find friends and family waiting for them and straight on kicked off with the birthday song.
It was not long before Kenzo got a black bucket and soaked his lover, she could not hold her tears of joy. Kenzo's mom asked him to put a ring on it as Rema has been there for him through thick and thin.

The Sitya Loss star, Eddy Kenzo, is working on his Jambole remix song with Nigeria's Kcee who is behind songs like ''Pullover'' featuring WizKid and Limpopo. The remix song was shot in Lagos yesterday.
Two weeks back, he was in Gabon, the Equatorial Guinea where he met with Akon and was impressed with the discussions they held. Nine days back, he was landing in Lagos, Nigeria where he has been recording a series of songs. Kenzo will be in town on Friday morning to catch up with baby Aamal who is slightly over a month and of course his baby mama, Rema Namakula.
The Guardian, a UK newspaper has listed the top five African musicians likely to take over 2015 and our very own Kenzo and Nigeria's Wizkid are among them.
While Kenzo was away, there was a concert dubbed Sitya Loss that was organised in Wobulenzi, Luweero District but the fans went on rampage after the Be Happy singer was a no show, police was forced to use tear-gas to quell the violence. Items worth millions of shillings were destroyed.
Meanwhile, Kenzo will be attending David Lutalo's Akantu album launch that will be held at Hotel Africana this Friday.

"My first meeting with Akon was superb thank God, the conversation we had might change my life, INSHA ALLAH For God and my country.."
That is Eddy Kenzo's post after meeting American RnB and HipHop recording artist, Akon who is number five on Forbes list of Africa's most influential celebrities.
The two met in Bata on the opening day of the African Cup of Nations. The ceremony featured vibrant performances including that of the Hola Hola theme song that saw Eddy Kenzo perform along side other top artistes.
He later told him of how he loved the kids in the Sitya Loss video, "Tell them that I appreciate their talent," Akon said.

The African Cup of Nations (AFCON) kicked off yesterday in Bata, Equatorial Guinea and our very own Eddy Kenzo is featured on the theme song, Hola Hola.
Before the games could kick off, the 2015 Cup of Nations song, had to be performed. Kenzo, Manni Bella, Tofan, Singuila and WizKid among others were the artistes to perform at the opening ceremony. Earlier on Kenzo had been in Gabon for a performance and was so excited to travel to Guinea by a private flight.
"A private jet was sent to Gabon from Equatorial Guinea to pick me to perform at the grand opening ceremony of the African Cup of Nations. I didn't know I was that special and that's what I call true blessings with the power of God."
" And guess who I met backstage, Konvict boss, Akon..the first thing he told me was that I like your song of the kids dancing in the video, tell them that I appreciate their talent, God bless them"

It's now official, Eddie Kenzo and Rema Namakula will be married pretty soon as the Sitya Loss singer has initiated plans for the nuptials.
Eddy Kenzo was in Equatorial Guinea for the new year's eve, and given the timing, it's been a busy time for him that he did not have enough time to spend with baby Aamal Musuuza, who was born on Boxing day.
For the last nine months, Kenzo has been tight lipped on the father issue leading to soem to suspect Kadonga Kamu star, Mathias Walukagga, but with the pre-introduction ceremony being strunk off their to-do-list, you can't afford to talk of Walukagga.
It's the third couple trying to work things out their style after Moze Radio and Lillian Mbabazi, and now, Fille Clear Muthoni and celebrated city MCKats who also part times as a musician.

It's been an amazing year for Rema and Eddy Kenzo. The Deep in love singer and her better half welcomed their first child, a daughter named Aamaal Musuuza on December 26, Kenzo announced on his facebook page.
Kenzo has been busy with several performances in the festive season and right now, he is in Equatorial Guinea, for a performance slated for tomorrow. The Be Happy singer has been in the Central African country since Dec 29, implying that, he has not spent enough time with his, now, second daughter.
In the Nice and Lovely song, Kenzo says that; "Olina Dimples Super" and it's on record, no one beats Rema when it comes to dimples, so that was a song he dedicated to her on conceiving...she did not disappoint, she retaliated with Muchuzi which you can as well relate to Musuuza, Kenzo's last name.
The Sitya Loss star had a message for the new year to his fans.
"On behalf of the entire Big Talent family, I wish you all a great prosperous new year. I thank the almighty lord for the new gift of a pretty baby Aamaal and my Sitya Loss song for making it to number 1 in the year 2014 and Number 3 in Africa by African Music Magazine, Happy New Year."
Meanwhile, yesterday as Bukedde TV was counting down the TOP 50 songs of the year 2014 voted by the viewers, Eddy Kenzo's Sitya Loss was number one followed by Bebe Cool's Love You Everyday.

Rema and Kenzo are the proud parents to baby Aamaal who was born on Boxing day. The Sitya Loss singer who has for long been tight lipped on the matter shared the good news on his wall.
"Mukama wamanyi boxing day YAZE ne musuuza omupya alihamidulirah maya afunye sister. Era kanebaze omulungi wange abadde very strong ebanga lyona. Ate wanjawulo according to her status ne myakaje abantu abamuvodde yandibade yabadamu nga ayomba naye yasirika. olugero lwa kasiru takusiruwaza alumanyi. bogedde ebisongovu bafune attention tezemu nomu Allah akuwe kyosinga okwagala mukwano. kale twanirize baby Aamaal munsi enungi Nga mukama yemukulembeze. Translated as: "The lord is great, Boxing day was welcomed with a new Musuuza, Maya now has a sister. I thank Rema who has been strong all this while. I'm proud of her given her age, a lot has been said but she did not say a word in retaliation. May Allah grant you whatever you wish for my dear. May we now welcome baby Aamaal in the world full of blessings from the lord, Amen."
This is Kenzo's second child and Rema's first. Kenzo has a daughter from his first relationship.

Following the arsonists who torched Big Eye's car on Monday night, his girl friend, Sheilla is contemplating going back to the US.
"Am hating Uganda because of this, who do you think you are trying to kill someone," Sheilla noted on her wall. "It's a pity some hurtless people have burnt my husband's car this nite."
It's said that Big Eye had just shifted to this Makindye house three days back after separating with Sheilla, but they are now staying together.
According to Big Eye's neighbour, the attackers had come for him because they first broke into the car and started hooting, but when he refused to come out, they just resorted to torching the car. "I heard a bang and on waking up, I saw my vehicle in flames..." Ibrahim Mayanja aka Big Eye told one publication.
He went on to add that the 'Sitya Loss' singer, Eddie Kenzo, should also be investigated because on a number of occasions, a Prado similar to his is always pursuing me. Police should also interrogate the DJ's who fought me at the Busabaala Beach, he concluded.
Meanwhile, when this got to Kenzo he had this to say; "Colleagues, you've all seen Big Eye's statement in Bukedde and If it was you, what would you do?"

First, it was Bebe Cool then Anne Kansiime, Irene Ntale and now the Sitya Loss singer, Eddy Kenzo, who was hosted live on BBC's Focus on Africa yesterday at 18:30 (British Summer Time). Eddy Kenzo is in the UK and will be rocking Birmingham and London this weekend.
He recently held his Sitya Loss concerts in Kampala and Mbarara among others and they were all massively attended. Before that, Kenzo and Anne Kansiime had just won awards in Australia and they are still winning more, they are now nominees in the BEFFTA 2014 awards.
His Sitya Loss video is the most popular Ugandan video on YouTube with over 5 million views. To appreciate Kenzo better, you need to listen to his Ogenda Kunzisa song to know where he is coming from. He started from Masaka and now he is global. For some reason, latest videos from the big artistes are now having a Sitya Loss flavour in them.
Aside from the fight he had with a radio journalist recently, all has been well, but then again, he sums it up in his song, Sitya Loss loosely translated as; 'I Don't Fear Losing'.

Eddy Kenzo has apologized to his fans following the nasty incident in which he thumped a journalist to pulp. The Sitya Loss singer while appearing on NTV The Beat maintained that he will not apologize to Isaac Katende aka Kasuku.
"I lived on the street for many years and people used to fight each other to survive. I never fought anyone. I even never fought in school, you can ask any of the people that I grew up with. I have not fought in 15 years. I am sorry for this and I ask Ugandans, Africa and fans world over to forgive me."
"Ask any of my ex-girlfriends, you know them, I have never beaten anyone of them. Ask my baby mama, I have not beaten her. I am not a violent person,"
"Kasuku has been defaming me for two years. He asked for 500,000shs to promote my music some time back after my successful show and I told him that I don’t have money. From that day, he has hated me and promised to bring me down. I will not apologize to him."
Meanwhile, Kasuku's phone has been ringing non stop and in his words he says: "I have realised why celebs do stunts...the way my fone has been ringing since yesterday, if it was a concert, this was going to be a success."
In a few minutes from now, the Kasuku live show on 90.4 Dembe FM will be on. It should be noted that in the previous versions, they've always introduced the topic of the day way before it starts, but this time around, they are silent about the topic. No doubt, the whole show could as well be dedicated to Eddy Kenzo after all.

Urban TV's Gossip Queen, Mary Luswata had her shot on the Kenzo fight. I've been saying so many good things about you, your winning awards and we are reporting about Sitya Loss, but, we can't only say good things about you, your're not the ones who feed us and we don't sleep in your sitting rooms. We can't only wake up in the morning and start saying oh Kenzo, Oh Kenzo, Ohhh Kenzo.
If you have beef with someone why show up at their press conference. For me as journalist, I give both sides of the story, these two are grown ups, and as a professional, I can't get caught up in this mix. You punch someone because they said what! and how?
Lol Uh Uganda...I won't even call Rema because I considered doing so, I want these two to tell us the truth, but on calling their lines, none of them were picking. Kenzo's ring tone is Sitya Loss while Kasuku's ring tone is Red Banton's Sijja Kuva Kampala Nganye.
Before signing off her five-minute show, Mary Luswata said; "Enjoy your weekend and know that I'm not about to be beaten soon because I know how to run this game."

Following the blows that the Jangu Nkulage singer rained on Isaac Katende, a journalist with Dembe FM, these are other people's views;
Joel Isabirye - Beating up a journalist affects your social capital. It could also land you in jail for quite some time. Celebs also need to cultivate a habit of official communication through press releases. Release a press statement on social media and to the media on the matter and then if you decide to go legal go ahead.
Roni Mulindwa - "Celebs" are human. Cut them some slack! They sweat blood walk miles. Spend what they don't even have to be who they are. Report responsibly!! Else u live with the consequences of what u do to people's lives, careers and families!!
Friday, September 12 2014
Yesterday was the Sitya Loss press conference at Laftaz Comedy Lounge. All was going well but things went out of hand during the question and answer session.
"But we still have unprofessional people who try to drag us down because of their personal issues, Kasuku asked me for 500,000/-..." as Kenzo was still explaining, he was interrupted by Kasuku who said; "There is nothing personal here, Kenzo, you paid money to Star TV for them not to play Big Eye's music.." "I'm a journalist and I will say what I feel is right," Kasuku added.
Kenzo furiously asked Kasuku if at all he had evidence to that effect. "Do you have evidence, do you have evidence!, Kenzo continued to ask while standing up. The Sitya Loss singer just jumped on to the plastic table (leaving it broken) as he went to rain several blows on Kasuku.
The Dembe FM presenter was beaten severely, he is now nursing head and nose injuries. Chairs and bottles were broken in the melee that lasted several minutes.
Kenzo explains the mixup - In one of his shows, he said that in 2008, I paid money so that Big Eye's music should not be played, but during that time, I was sharing the same bed with Big Eye and we could also put on the same clothes. We just part ways with Big Eye in 2011. I'm a God fearing person and if it's true I paid money for Big Eye's music not to be played, then Iet God be the judge.
Meanwhile, Eddy Sendi, a co-host on Dembe FM's Kasuku live show was busy diverting attention from the issues at hand to asking his followers when they last used SKYPE.
Thursday, September 11 2014
During the press conference, Dembe FM's Isaac Katende aka Kasuku made some remarks that did not impress the Mukisa Gwo singer. Kasuku was bitter that Kenzo who announced that the press conference was to start at 10:30am turned up one and a half hours later, and when he did, he just went to chill with friends other than getting to business.
Kasuku went on to make reference to Kenzo's video recording in which he blames radio and TV personalities who ask for money from artistes before playing their music. Kasuku noted that in 2011, Kenzo paid him money not to play music for another artist, thus turning Kenzo into the hunter being hunted.
Kenzo did not allow him to utter more of what he termed as rubbish, he just jumped onto Kasuku's neck sending him to his knees in the process. It was then that members of Eddy Kenzo's Big Talent Crew whisked him away. Kenzo is doing this because of his upcoming concert, Kasuku noted while appearing on NTV. It's the dancing styles that have propelled the Sitya Loss song to those levels, Kasuku added.
The journalist has threatened to take legal action like he did to Chameleone's wife, Daniella Atim, who slapped him. Daniella was forced to pay damages in form of a torn shirt, some pain killers plus a rosary all amounting to slightly over Shs 200,000/-
Tuesday, September 09 2014
His music journey is one that baffles even the top dogs in the music industry, not even Mun G's airtel advert of 'Toidi Luzungu' can apply to him as he explained a few weeks back while in the US;
"gw'a ate munange olaba abayimbi bafe bwebatakozesa jamaican accent bakozesa nigerian kati olwo fe tugwa mu category ki bwetuyimba olunzugu in our own way nga muvuma so nga ate amawanga amaalala gatufuna bulungi nsaba mukireze twenyumireze mukyetulina tuja kuyitawo nze eno nkutula deal everyday kuba kyakute ebyadala..."
Translated as; "Our artists have also resorted to using Jamaican or Nigerian accents, and when I sing using English in my own way, I'm abused yet fans elsewhere in the world do get me well. I'm appealing to all of you to appreciate your own artists, as a country, we will all benefit.
After spending a few months in the US, the Sitya Loss singer Eddie Kenzo was back in Uganda but for a few hours before proceeding to Tanzania. It's where he learnt of his latest award, 'Best New Music Act (Africa)' in the just concluded Afro Australian Music and Movie Awards.
Last week, Eddy Kenzo and Navio were the only Ugandans nominated in the Channel O Africa music video awards 2014. Interestingly, they are both in the same category of 'Most Gifted East'. The others in that category include; Sauti Sol, Diamond and Elani.
I thank you fans for the love and support but don't forget to vote for me in the category of 'Most Gifted East '

Eddy Kenzo is on a Sitya Loss tour in the US. Last Friday, he was performing alongside Jamaican dance-hall star DeMarco. They are even thinking of doing a Sitya loss remix, a song that is proving to be Kenzo's best. It would be a great moment to see the I love My Life singer trying out some 'Stamina' strokes.
Kenzo was among the top 20 KORA artistes in Africa for three consecutive weeks. In week 22, he was number 18 and in week 23, he moved up to number 14, in week 24, he was number 12 and now, a top contender for week 25. KORA Awards fans on facebook do the voting.
Kenzo went for the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) that will be held on Jul 26, 2014 where he is nominated as the 'Best New Comer'. Other Ugandan artistes that were nominated include his better half, Rema Namakula, Bebe Cool, Navio and Irene Ntale.
Meanwhile, Kenzo's 'Nice and Lovely Sitya Loss' concert will be held at Kati Kati on 19.Sep.2014.
