All hell broke loose when Desire Luzinda referred to her Nigerian lover, Franklin Emuobor, as a conman. This is the man who financed Desire Luzinda's Black and White Affair. To his surprise, Desire was moving out with several men that include singers, politicians, sportsmen and so on. He recalled what he went through like selling off a friend's car, borrowing money from all corners just to fund the Black and White Affair concert in June this year. Franklin was told his money would be reimbursed through gate collections but to his surprise, most of the guests came to the venue with their tickets implying that they had bought them elsewhere. After the show, Franklin was the one footing most of the bills, so today, when he learns of Desire's claims that he is the reason for her problems, he wonders! "With that long list of her's that will not end today, how do you expect me to pay the debts she incurred during the concert. If I were your brother, what will you advise. If Im really that bad, would she be that excited while I took that pic.." Franklin was still releasing more cozy pics of Desire Luzinda, but the singer was quick to send him a ceasefire message saying; "Please you have won this war." In one of the pics, Desire is all spread and the other, the singer is standing with one arm holding her center folds and the other forms a V sign around her kitty. Meanwhile, another debtor has come up. This one is a Ugandan and only learnt of Desire's problems after she was put on TV last night. He is demanding for close to 8million though he will not press charges, but on the advise of his lawyers, he will bank the cheques that Desire gave him, should they bounce, it's then that he will decide what steps to take. This is the money she used to buy an airticket for Franklin, who had become broke after spending so much on Desire's concert. Desire Luzinda's Nigerian lover has revealed why he failed to bail her out yesterday. He was responding to Desire Luzinda's version in which she said that the money that caused her problems was actually borrowed by Franklin Emuobor to pump in his Dubai based business. She went on to say "This was the second time he was walking on the streets in Uganda and I was the only soul that offered him shelter, food and gave up all that I had for him to get back on his feet." When this got to Franklin, he did not waste any minute in giving his side of the story. "Am proud to be a Nigerian and when I financed her concert I was a Nigerian and when I keep showing her with money I was a Nigerian, now that I refused to bail her out from her debts bcos of her unfaithfulness am a conman..story of my life." Desire's friends were not buying his story and he bounced back with more details: "Nigerian, Ugandan, Kenyan where ever you come from, we are all one but it doesn't give us the right to cheat or play with someone's mind that work hard to provide for you..the person she borrowed the money for is my witness. As you may now be aware, Desire was arrested yesterday for failing to clear a shs 16M debt. Apparently, she had borrowed this money to help out her very close Nigerian friend, Franklin Ebikeme Emoubor Ebenhron who claimed to be doing business in Dubai at the time, but as it turns out, she might forget about whatever man that was advanced.. Franklin did inject some good funds in Desire Luzinda's Black and White Affair concert that was held at Kampala Serena in June, but along the way, the businessman became broke. Desire made over 100m in the Serena show and of course had to knock off the overheads and must have had a reasonable balance but the reason this debt went out of hand was because she expected that Franklin would honour his part and pay up. Katumba Shaffic commonly known as Katsha or Sushi man has now added a black Hummer to his fleet. He has customised it with 'KATSHA 9 GP' plates. He was the first man to introduce a sushi themed party to the local scene and since then, there has not been any other party. In September when Jose Chameleone was performing in South Africa, Katsha paid $20,000 for the 'One Man, One Million, One Show' that will take place on December 18 at Serena Hotel. Court bailiffs who have been looking for her since (Oct 23) say her known numbers were off and she was shifting from one location to the other until they landed on her in Wandegeya. On arresting her, she tried going back to the house to at least put on heels, but they did not give her that chance. She was in handmade beaded sandals made in Kenya. The Nina Omwami singer was then taken to court and while there, she made several calls to close friends including the Nigerian Oga, but most of them said it was on short notice. According to the bailiff, Desire borrowed money for her Black and White Affair concert that was held at Serena Hotel in June this year. Her Manager only known as Paddy was able to secure shs 10m with a promise of paying the 6m by Friday, Oct 31, 2014. It was then that Desire who was clad in a pink and black dress was released. Otherwise, she was not allowed to move an inch. Two friends were shielding her from the paparazzi who were trying to get the best shots possible, but with difficulty. The Nseyeya singer seems to be back on track and ready to rock her fans like she has been doing before. This morning, the two reported to police as required by the bond terms only to learn that they were to appear in court today. In court, the two were asked to say something before the sentence, Mugisha accepted that he has been producing x-rated movies and songs but Panadol denied. Producer Didi was sentenced to 4 years in jail while Panadol was sentenced to 1 year in jail. Last Friday, radio consultant, Joel Isabirye survived being stabbed as he explained; "This morning someone tried to stab me with a knife and I was lucky to survive. Those who slept praying for me your prayers worked. I have sent messages to a few people who if anything happens to me soon will know who did it." The couple that made headlines using a helicopter on their intro and wedding last year have a month and a few days to mark their first anniversary. Joel has had a string of failed relationships but friends and family are praying for them to at least make one year after their wedding. Rebecca has since been hauled up in prayer; "No weapon formed against me shall prosper, Am not afraid anymore." Joel resorts to parables to drive his point home. "I used to have a friend called Derrick in primary school. If he did wrong he would cry louder than the one he wronged. All of a sudden everyone would sympathize with him and forget that he did something very wrong. Sometimes tears play a big role in hiding the bad things people do." The Miss Uganda pageant was held yesterday at Speke Resort Munyonyo. Leah Kalanguka (23) from IGANGA District beat the other contestants. She replaces Stella Nantumbwe aka Ellah, the only Ugandan housemate left in the Big Brother House. More on Miss Uganda Leah promised to encourage the youth to take on commercial agriculture as a way of fighting poverty. This year's event was premised on the theme of 'Promoting Agricultural Entreprenuership among the youth.' It's been 20 years since a beauty queen came from the East with the last one being Linda Bazalaki in 1994. Bootyliscious Desire Luzinda was among the entertainers of the night with Capital FM's Flavia Tumusiime and KFM's Roger Migisha as the MC's. "I was overwhelmed when my name was read as the winner. I could not have won this pageant if it was not for the grace of God," Leah said shortly after being crowned.

Sisimuka Uganda CEO Frank Gashumba defends his daughter from opportunists. It all started with a post on a FAKE - NTV Be My Date page that his daughter, Sheilla Gashumba, had been fired from NTV for having had a thing or two with Nigeria's WizKid. Sheilla had this to say; "If doing interviews with artists is the new way of sleeping with them then well and good. Am a TV presenter. My job is to get the best for my show! I'm sorry that you missed the WizKid show and you are very angry at that." "What if I did it with Wizkid, why are you concerned though!! are you my boyfriend!!!" Like it has been the case in the past, he was quick to come to the aid of his only daughter, he did not have kind words for the 'haters'. "I'm sorry for all those hurling insults at Sheilla. She is better than you, well mannered, she is known by people who matter, sleeps well, walks well, not used a taxi in her life and those who mess with her, if you are not careful, she will be heading you." The Big Brother Hotshots Uganda rep was supposed to jet in on Wednesday but missed her flight as she was busy with autographs. She was driven to Rosemary Courts for her first press conference and, first on her mind was Bebe Cool. It should be recalled that Bebe threw his weight behind Ellah after it turned out that the two Ugandan housemates in the #BBAHotshots were up for eviction. "Africa knows me, I did well and they don't know him even after performing for 30 years. He is free to talk and talk. A man who is 43 years old and all he does is bring negative energy to whoever wants to prosper is not a man and If Idisgraced Uganda what did he do, he cheated on his wife, impregnated young girls...he is just a struggling musician." Esther went on to say that while in the house, she did not have any strategy, she was just having fun. There are certain people who reached the finals and I don't even remember them. But again, Bihg Brother is about votes and Ugandans don't vote. Even if you do spiderman moves, you will still be evicted because people think about the money the yare going to spend on the SMS." 'I'm here to mingle' were his words while appearing on NTV The Beat. Nigerian singer, WizKid, has indeed been having a nice time since then. He was on Wednesday performing at the All White VIP party at Golf Course Hotel. It was an invite only party, you had to be seen taking a guinness at your favorite hangout place. Some won tickets after taking Guinness selfies to be able to attend the party. It was hosted by Capital FM's Flavia Tumusiime. The party kicked off at 8pm with our very own DJ's spinning the discs. Navio, Cindy and Chameleone among others thrilled the guests. DJ Xclusive followed doing what he does best. A few minutes to 11:00pm, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid hit the stage doing most of his tracks, It was a two hour performance. Other than the VIP Guinness show, WizKid has made the best of his time in Kampala. The BET award winner was able to shoot the 'Don't Cry' video with Radio and Weasel. It was during that time that NTV's Sheila Gashumba came to interview him, but the 'On Top Your Matter' singer kept on staring at Sheila's butt, hmmm

Ibrahim Mayanja aka Big Eye is still in shock following his Toyota Noah (UAS 592 U) that got burnt on Monday morning. While appearing on a local TV, Big Eye explained what happened hours before the attack. He also appealed to whoever he hurt to find room in their heart to forgive him. "I was part of the artistes who performed at the Busabala Festival but the DJ kept on stopping my music midway, something that my official DJ could not do. I kept my calm until after the performance, I decided to go and find out why he behaved that way, but he was more than prepared to fight." "The car was parked at my studio in Makindye which doubles as the Big Music offices. I heard a bang thinking these were thieves so I opened the sitting room door only to see smoke all over with my car in flames. I don't know who is behind this. These guys took nothing and whatever was in the car got burnt. Before setting it ablaze, they were hooting so that I can come out but on realizing that I was not about to, they decided to set the car ablaze." Police is doing it's job. I don't have any suspect in mind. "My brothers and sisters who write news please don't mislead our audience.There is no where I said that Kenzo burnt my car. Let's leave the police to do it's job. Kenzo is my brother from another mother." While making his statement at the police station, the investigating officer asked him if at all he had any issues with any one or he suspected that anyone could be behind this, he mentioned some names but that was more than three years back, and that is how some names appeared in the press.

Zari's on and off hubby, Ivan Semwanga has once again undergone a plastic surgery operation. It looks like the operation he did 14 months back did not offer the desired results forcing him to do it again. It has cost him approximately shs 100m. The last time he did it, his wife Zari was dating ex-big brother and basket ball star, Isaac Lugudde aka LK4, Zari was deeply, madly in love with his albs. Like any other couple, things did not work out, but LK4 had quenched his thirst anyway. Ivan has again gone for the surgery to try and work on his fat belly and also reduce on the breasts. This is coming at the time after Zari has just dumped her latest lover, Farouk Sempala, better known as the muscle man. Farouk dated Zari longer than LK4. Given that background, it's not surprising to see how hard Ivan is trying to achieve a body closer to LK4 or Farouk. However, it's not clear if his efforts will pay off because as he is recuperating from the operation, nutritional drinks are right by his bedside. We only hope this time around, the efforts pay off, otherwise sooner rather than later, we could see him doing another operation.

Following the arsonists who torched Big Eye's car on Monday night, his girl friend, Sheilla is contemplating going back to the US. "Am hating Uganda because of this, who do you think you are trying to kill someone," Sheilla noted on her wall. "It's a pity some hurtless people have burnt my husband's car this nite." It's said that Big Eye had just shifted to this Makindye house three days back after separating with Sheilla, but they are now staying together. According to Big Eye's neighbour, the attackers had come for him because they first broke into the car and started hooting, but when he refused to come out, they just resorted to torching the car. "I heard a bang and on waking up, I saw my vehicle in flames..." Ibrahim Mayanja aka Big Eye told one publication. He went on to add that the 'Sitya Loss' singer, Eddie Kenzo, should also be investigated because on a number of occasions, a Prado similar to his is always pursuing me. Police should also interrogate the DJ's who fought me at the Busabaala Beach, he concluded. Police are investigating the blaze on Big Eye's car last night. They just heard a big bang and on coming out, their Toyota Noah car was in flames. It's not clear if the car was comprehensively insured, and if it only had the third party insurance cover, then the Physically Fit singer is at a loss. "Whoever did this, God is watching, now you've burnt my car? What is it that I did to you? My car has been burnt this night in my parking lot..." Big eye wrote on his wall this morning while communicating the bad news. His better half, Sheila also tweeted about the traumatizing incident - "It's a pity some hurtless people have burnt my husband's car this nite walahi.." The highlight of the event was when socialite Judith Heard bumped into Urban TV's Mary Luswata, many thought a fight was going to ensue, but the mom of three just embraced the lady who has made it a point to calling her all sorts of names when she gets the opportunity. Esther is loud and that is the one reason most housemates were citing for nominating her. Afri-Talent's John Segawa is nursing head injuries after being attacked by over five thugs at his residence in Rubaga. This happened in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Flat screens and a laptop were among the stolen items. The thugs used his car to drive off with their loot. He was in the company of a lady at the time, who is yet to make a statement, but the thugs did not hurt her. Gunshots were heard in the neighbourhood as the same thugs tried raiding another home but were met with stiff resistance. On establishing that the thugs had taken off, Segawa with the help of his house help was rushed to one of his ex-lovers, Ruth Wanyana who later rushed him to Mayo Clinic. His trademark dreadlocks had to be cut off for medical reasons. The actor has a deep wound on his head. His other ex-lover, Mariam Ndagire is yet to check on him. Bakuli based Club Ambiance has been closed by Kampala Capital City Authority just two months after opening to the public. The night spot was closed Friday evening by officials from KCCA for lack of an occupational permit. According to Peter Kauju the KCCA spokesperson, proprietors of Club Ambiance made changes to the approved plan and the amended plan was not submitted for approval. The staircase is not wide enough and they also used up part of the road reserve. Joseph Kiyimba, the club owner says that all that will be rectified and the club will be opened sooner rather than later. Employees were over heard complaining to the city authorities for not being fair as they have responsibilities back home and in the club, some of the guests were seen rushing to the parking yard to drive off lest their cars are caught up in the confusion. A few weeks back, a man in his late 90's was on telly claiming that he was not compensated for the land where the club was constructed. "To all our dear clients we shall not be open tonite (Friday). Eddy Kenzo is in the UK and will be rocking Birmingham and London this weekend. He recently held his Sitya Loss concerts in Kampala and Mbarara among others and they were all massively attended. Before that, Kenzo and Anne Kansiime had just won awards in Australia and they are still winning more, they are now nominees in the BEFFTA 2014 awards. His Sitya Loss video is the most popular Ugandan video on YouTube with over 5 million views. To appreciate Kenzo better, you need to listen to his Ogenda Kunzisa song to know where he is coming from. He started from Masaka and now he is global. For some reason, latest videos from the big artistes are now having a Sitya Loss flavour in them. Last Saturday, Cindy was one of the performers at the Inter University Fresher's Ball in Bakuli, Club Ambience. All was well up to the time she went on stage to perform. Cindy used her wall to ask who stole her wallet between the Producer and Chamili's security guard. Last Sunday was a bit busy. It was the annual KCCA - Kampala Festival and Big Brother Africa was also launching that night. Most roads leading to the city centre around Kampala road and Jinja road had been blocked to pave way for the festivities that stretched through the wee hours of Monday morning. Shanita Namuyimba aka Bad Black was appearing in court today. It was Meddie's turn to testify. Bad Black's ex, David Greenhalgh wants Meddie Ssentongo's properties attached as it's widely believed that most of the property was acquired using the money they embezzled from him. Meddie who preferred to testify in Luganda wondered why it was only him being accused and yet they used to have fun as a group. The case was adjourned to Oct 17. Meanwhile, Bad Black's skin is tending to her original colour at least form the latest pics. She is currently at Luzira Prison serving her four-year-jail term. Meddie Ssentongo long served his 18 month sentence afer they were found guilty for embezzling Shs 11bn. A section of Big Brother fans in Uganda have blamed the team responsible for choosing contestants from the lot that auditioned for the reality show at Sheraton Hotel in Kampala. Questions are still being asked as to how Esther Akankwasa emerged the best person to represent the country in the season 9 edition otherwise known as the Big Brother Hotshots. It's day 3, but with only 60 days left for the show to end, fans in Uganda are certain that with Esther AK, this was a raw deal and a clear plan for denying Uganda the chance to win the $300,000 prize money. It's as though Uganda is represented by one contestant, the reigning Miss Uganda, Stella Nantubwe also going by the name Ellah on the show. Rwanda which is making it's debut on the reality show this year have a strong team. Frankie (good sat singing) and Arthur the comedian are doing so well and Biggie's cameras are following them all the way, but the few times the cameras have rolled on Esther, the topic of discussion is not that pleasant. It should be recalled that several people showed interest in the show, it's also alleged that some personalities were asked to audition but in the end, Esther was topping the charts. Matters were made worse when word started doing rounds that a Naija man was representing Uganda. Zuena's close pals have been urged to treat their maids well to ensure they do not turn against them. Housemaids can mean to be a nuisance at times if their supervisors treat them inhumanely. During the press conference at Serena yesterday Joe said that he will put up a show far better than what he did on his previous tour in 2007. "I'm here with my daughter and it feels great to be back in Uganda for the second time . I'm ready to perform all my songs and since we are to help a cause, Im glad to be part of Jazz Safari this year." Joe will be performing alongside Grammy award winning guitarist, Norman Brown. Tizer band members and Cameroonian bass player, Andre Manga, will also perform. Yesterday was their meet and greet party at Guvnor which Joe missed, but, Norman Brown was able to chat up with fans. Tonight, the Jazz artistes are expected at Zone 7, and tomorrow all roads will lead to Kampala Serena Hotel. Proceeds from the concert will go towards the completion of Nsambya Cancer centre. Bebe Cool was yesterday performing at 4th Future of Cities Forum in Munyonyo where he dedicated his latest blockbuster hit song, 'Love You Everyday' to President Museveni. "I dedicate this song to the President for the great things he has done, " Bebe Cool noted before proceeding for a chat with the President who was more than happy to receive him. The dedication does not come as a surprise. In 2010 when Bebe Cool was shot in the legs at Nakumatt, it was President Museveni who paid for his medical bills in the US, he also checked on him at Nsambya hospital. The president was so excited to see Bebe Cool jumping on his two legs as he performed the Love You Everyday song a sign to show that the shooting of four years back fully healed.
