Late Comedian Kapere's Wife Clashes With Alleged Relatives Over Burial Site

The grieving wife of the late Ugandan comedian Kapere Lufotose has found herself locked in a dispute with individuals claiming to be the entertainer’s relatives regarding his final resting place.

According to reports, several people emerged following the comedian’s passing, demanding that his remains be transported to Mityana for burial. However, Kapere’s wife firmly rejected these demands and declined to surrender the body to the claimants.

Friends and close associates noted that during his lifetime, Kapere considered his immediate family to consist of his wife, children, and the friends he made throughout his journey in Kampala. Defying the demands of the self-proclaimed relatives, his wife maintained that the comedian had clearly expressed his personal wishes before his death.

According to her, Kapere desired to be laid to rest on his own personal plot of land located in Kiyunga, Mukono District. Funeral arrangements moved forward in alignment with his stated wishes, with preparations finalized for his burial.
