The National Vice Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), Michael Nuwagira, popularly known as Toyota, has called upon young people across the country to prioritize discipline, accountability, and active patriotism. Speaking at the PLU Secretariat in Naguru, Kampala, Nuwagira emphasized that the youth hold a vital responsibility in safeguarding the development milestones achieved by the government while driving future economic transformation.

“Energy meets experience because the Gen Z have energy and we have the experience,” Nuwagira stated during the gathering. He challenged young citizens to actively monitor government initiatives, track the allocation of public funds, and demand transparency to ensure that developmental resources successfully reach grassroots communities.

Furthermore, Nuwagira cautioned against speaking ill of the nation while abroad, urging Ugandans to take immense pride in their homeland rather than tarnishing its international image. His remarks coincided with an official political development where a youth coalition known as Gen Z for Gen 7 endorsed General Muhoozi Kainerugaba as their preferred candidate for the 2031 presidential race.

Kyarisiima Israel, the National Coordinator for Gen Z for Gen 7, praised General Muhoozi for his contributions to national security, regional diplomacy, and infrastructural projects. The group highlighted that their endorsement aims to secure greater youth participation in national politics while championing patriotism and constitutionalism. Read the full story on Nile Post.
