Super Select Corporates, a collective of former footballers and corporate professionals, has bolstered its community outreach initiatives across the Lango sub-region. As part of their corporate social responsibility agenda, the Lira-based team recently visited Adyel Primary School to donate assorted items and motivate Primary Leaving Examination candidates ahead of their national tests.
Chris Oluge, the team’s CSR manager, captain, and spokesperson, expressed satisfaction at fulfilling the year’s planned community activities. Having attended Adyel Primary School himself, Oluge used the visit to personally inspire the learners to stay focused on their education.
Earlier in July, the squad also visited Lira Regional Referral Hospital to support pregnant and breastfeeding mothers with essential supplies. Team president Geoffrey Anguzu noted that these interventions aim to bridge gaps where government resources fall short, emphasizing that collective efforts from corporate entities can profoundly impact lives in Northern Uganda.
With around 30 active members, Super Select Corporates plans to scale its membership to 100 and establish a formal community-based organization. Their recent outreach at Adyel Primary School received backing from KEDO FC, a Kampala-based professional football team known for similar philanthropic endeavors, including supporting refugees and pupils in Buyende.
