The King of Tooro, Omukama Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I, has issued a strict deadline to the kingdom’s interim Prime Minister, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki. The premier has until November 12, 2026, to officially submit a detailed report regarding his administration’s operations.
During his inaugural address at the opening of the Tooro Kingdom Supreme Council held on Tuesday at the Mucwa Kingdom headquarters in Fort Portal City, the monarch emphasized the importance of accountability and structured governance within the kingdom.
According to the directive, once the interim Prime Minister submits the documentation, the Tooro Supreme Council will thoroughly review the findings. The council is then expected to deliberate on the report and forward its observations and recommendations back to the king within a seven-day window.
This administrative milestone marks a key development in the ongoing leadership processes within the Tooro Kingdom, as local stakeholders closely watch the proceedings at Mucwa.
