Defending champions Roxberry have shaken up the Nile Special National Pool League by recording the first-ever 20-0 victory in the competition’s history. The dominant performance against Corporate Shooters propelled Roxberry to the summit of the league standings with 35 points, placing them two points clear of second-placed Scrap Buyers.

Roxberry fielded a formidable starting lineup featuring Simon Lubuulwa, Ian Kazibwe, Ibra Ssejjemba, Joseph Kasozi, and Arnold Ssemukwano. Rather than relying solely on flashy break-and-finish victories, the champions dismantled their opponents through relentless consistency. Teenage sensation Herbert Mukisa and Robert Tumusiime also made impactful appearances in the second half.

Ssejjemba, Kasozi, and Ssemukwano each swept all four of their individual games, while Kazibwe and Lubuulwa maintained flawless records before being substituted. Speaking after the historic outing, Ssejjemba noted that the primary objective was simply to secure maximum points, aided by an off-day for their opponents.

Corporate Shooters captain Gregory Ogeni conceded that nothing went right for his side during the encounter. With Roxberry now sitting at the top, the champions face a crucial test in Mbale this weekend against Scrap Buyers as the title race heats up.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the league, Greater Mukono continues to navigate a turbulent campaign following a squad revamp. After finishing fourth in their debut season, they slipped to sixth following an 11-9 defeat to Wakiso City, though they quickly bounced back with a 15-5 victory over Nakawa. In the ladies’ division, Mukono maintain their unbeaten streak at the top of the table after recording four wins and a draw.
