Ugandan security forces have successfully apprehended a man described as the country’s worst serial killer and cannibal in history. The suspect, identified as Moses Mujurizi, is accused of committing a horrific series of murders spanning a decade and a half.
According to the Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi, the suspect allegedly killed and ate 38 individuals between 2010 and 2025. The gruesome crimes were reportedly carried out across several areas, including Masaka, Ibanda, and Kazo.
General Muhoozi announced the breakthrough on social media, expressing relief that the suspect has been taken off the streets. He further stated that authorities plan to hold a public trial for Mujurizi, followed by execution.
Law enforcement agencies are continuing their investigations into the extensive string of crimes to bring full closure to the affected families and communities.
