Ugandan singer Mary Bata has revealed a chilling experience from her recent birthday that left her questioning the intentions of people around her and heightened her fears regarding witchcraft.
Speaking candidly during a local podcast appearance, the artist explained that the ordeal began when a party attendee failed to bring a present on time. The guest promised to deliver a belated token of appreciation at a later date, which seemed like a harmless gesture at the time.
However, roughly a month later, the package finally arrived. Upon opening it, Bata discovered a collection of bizarre and unsettling items hidden inside. The strange contents instantly alarmed the singer, making her deeply fearful of what might have been intended.
Reflecting on the incident, Bata admitted that the encounter strongly reinforced her belief in witchcraft and dark practices. She noted that ignoring the warning signs could have led to serious consequences, prompting her to immediately seek spiritual guidance and counsel from her pastor to cleanse the situation.
The frightening ordeal has ultimately changed how the musician approaches generosity from others. Moving forward, Bata stated that she will be significantly more selective and cautious about the items she accepts. In a lighter moment during the interview, she joked that she would feel much safer if future admirers stuck to receiving larger, less suspicious presents like cars or land.
