Local Government Official Found Dead After Encounters with Two Women

The court has heard that Moses Omaido, a 47-year-old Principal Human Resource Officer at the Local Government Finance Commission, was involved in sexual encounters with two women prior to his untimely death.
Evidence presented by the prosecution indicates that Omaido was found stabbed to death on March 26, 2026, just hours after these encounters.
The prime suspect in the case, identified as Jaliah Nakimera, 27, who is alleged to have been Omaido’s girlfriend, is accused of fatally stabbing him following an early morning dispute.
Nakimera was recently committed to the High Court by the Kira Chief Magistrates Court to face trial for the murder charges. The proceedings are expected to shed further light on the events leading up to Omaido’s death.
