Kira Municipality Member of Parliament, George Fredrick Kagimu Musisi, has asserted his independent approach to parliamentary duties, emphasizing that he does not need to be a carbon copy of Ibrahim Ssemujju to deliver for his constituents. Musisi, who succeeded Ssemujju in representing Kira Municipality, acknowledged the common expectation that he would adopt a similar style or political stance.

However, Musisi firmly stated that his focus is on serving the people of Kira Municipality through his own methods and capabilities. He believes that each legislator has a unique way of contributing to parliamentary discourse and serving their electorate. While respecting Ssemujju’s contributions, Musisi is committed to carving out his own path and proving his effectiveness as an MP.

He highlighted that his primary objective is to address the needs and concerns of his constituents, and he intends to do so through his distinct leadership style. Musisi is keen on demonstrating that diverse approaches can be equally, if not more, successful in achieving legislative goals and bringing development to the constituency.

This declaration signals Musisi’s determination to establish his own identity and legacy in Kira Municipality politics, moving beyond the shadow of his predecessor. He is poised to tackle the challenges of representation with his unique perspective, aiming to fulfill his mandate effectively and earn the trust of the voters through his actions rather than imitation.
