Addis Ababa has declared that it must defend itself against what it describes as an “all-out invasion” by Eritrea. The Ethiopian government issued a statement asserting its right to self-defense in response to the alleged actions by its neighbor.
This accusation marks a significant escalation in the already strained relationship between Ethiopia and Eritrea. The Ethiopian statement did not provide specific details about the nature or extent of the alleged invasion. However, it conveyed a strong message of resolve from the Ethiopian administration.
The situation has raised concerns about regional stability, given the history of conflict between the two countries. Further details are expected as the situation unfolds and more information becomes available from credible sources.
