The Stromme Foundation has reached a significant milestone, celebrating 50 years of dedicated service in Uganda. To mark this occasion, the organization has unveiled a new brand identity, signaling a renewed commitment to its core mission of fighting poverty. This rebranding aims to strengthen its efforts in education, economic inclusion, and fostering robust partnerships with local communities.
The anniversary event brought together various stakeholders, including government officials, development partners, implementing organizations, and beneficiaries, to reflect on the Foundation’s journey and chart its future course.
Dinah Morgan, Stromme Foundation’s Uganda Country Representative, emphasized that the new identity is an evolution, not a departure, from its foundational principles. “We have lifted up the slogan, fighting poverty, to be part of our brand,” stated Morgan, highlighting the enduring focus on eradicating poverty through education and job creation, while maintaining a decentralized approach and strong local ties.
This rebranding comes as Stromme Foundation prepares to address contemporary challenges such as unemployment, inequality, and the impacts of climate change. The organization will continue to champion sustainable development by working collaboratively with communities, ensuring that interventions are driven by local needs and aspirations.
Partnerships remain central to Stromme’s strategy. Peter Okwi, Executive Director of TPO Uganda, a key implementing partner, shared insights on the impact of their collaboration. He noted that programs like the BELIEF initiative have positively impacted over 15,000 individuals, empowering young people to overcome adversity and build brighter futures.
The Foundation’s work, guided by Christian values, will continue to focus on enabling vulnerable populations to achieve dignified and self-reliant lives through enhanced access to education and income-generating opportunities.
