Otafiire's Brother Faces Firearms Charges, Case Adjourned

Amos Rwangomani, a brother of the Minister of Water and Environment, General Kahinda Otafiire, has been charged with unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition before the General Court Martial in Makindye.
Rwangomani, 56, who works as a supervisor at Kamed Security Company, faces three counts under the UPDF Act. The charges include the illegal possession of two firearms and 10 rounds of ammunition.
The court, presided over by Lt. Gen. Andrew Gutti, heard the charges against Rwangomani. He has since been granted bail.
The prosecution presented the case, detailing the alleged offenses. The defense team is expected to respond to the charges at the next hearing.
