Dr. Anthony Wamala, a key figure in Buganda Kingdom’s cultural and tourism sector, has emphasized the critical need for the Engabi Ensamba Clan to fortify its leadership structures and enhance its capacity for self-sustenance.

During a recent meeting with the clan’s leadership, headed by Omutaka Nsamba Aloysius Magandaazi Lubega, Minister Wamala outlined several key areas for improvement. He urged the clan to actively involve its younger members, ensuring that the next generation understands and engages with clan traditions and operations.

“You should strengthen leadership at all levels, mobilise and inspire your descendants to take an active interest in clan affairs, protect the clan’s assets and engage in income-generating activities that can enable the clan to sustain itself,” Wamala stated.

The minister also took the opportunity to express his gratitude to Omutaka Nsamba and the clan leadership for their warm reception during his visit to Buwanda.

The clan’s achievements were presented by its Katikkiro, Yiga Balironda, in a report that highlighted recent successes. Omutaka Nsamba credited these advancements to the clan’s unity, robust leadership, and the collaborative spirit of its members.

“The achievements we have registered as a clan have been made possible by strengthening our unity and working together,” Nsamba remarked, further thanking members for their ongoing dedication. He encouraged continued commitment to clan development programs.
