Bishop Fred Kagodo of Kiganda Diocese has called upon students preparing for national examinations to adopt a mindset that looks beyond the immediate academic hurdles. He urged them to view the upcoming exams not as an endpoint, but as a stepping stone towards future opportunities and challenges.

Speaking to candidates, Bishop Kagodo stressed the need for them to manage anxiety and fear, encouraging them to approach their papers with confidence and a clear head. He highlighted that success in examinations is crucial, but it is equally important to cultivate a spirit of perseverance and adaptability, qualities that are vital for navigating life after school.

The Bishop advised students to think about their career paths and the skills they will need to succeed in the broader world. He encouraged them to seek guidance, explore various vocations, and remain open to learning new things, even outside of traditional academic settings.

He further implored parents and educators to support candidates by fostering a positive environment that reduces pressure and promotes well-being. The emphasis, he noted, should be on holistic development, preparing students to be responsible and contributing members of society, regardless of their examination outcomes.

Bishop Kagodo concluded by wishing all candidates success in their exams, reiterating that their future potential is not solely defined by these tests but by their character, determination, and willingness to embrace life’s journey.
