PLU Rallies Wakiso Residents for Saturday Endorsement Rally

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) is intensifying its outreach efforts in Wakiso District, with Secretary General Fadil Twalla calling for a strong turnout at an upcoming gathering.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd, at Kira Playground, is part of PLU’s ongoing district-level mobilization and is officially designated as an “Endorsement Rally.”

During a press briefing, Twalla emphasized that the baraza will serve as a platform for citizens to engage in their civic duties while supporting PLU’s political objectives. He stated that the organization seeks to unite Ugandans around the principle of a peaceful and stable national transition.

“We want to advocate for participation, want unity, participate, want unity for transition of our country, want to make sure that we have a continued Uganda that is having peace and stability,” Twalla conveyed.

Local leaders and councilors in Wakiso have reportedly been involved in preparations for the event, collaborating with PLU structures. Twalla described the rally as a crucial element of PLU’s broader endorsement drive, stemming from the organization’s deep concern for Uganda’s present and future.

“All the activity that you have seen us doing is now endorsement, because we are passionate about our Uganda, we are passionate about where we are, and even we are passionate about where we are going,” he added.

PLU has been actively conducting similar district-level events across the country as part of its campaign to garner endorsements. The Wakiso rally follows previous announcements that also highlighted anti-corruption and community engagement aspects.

Twalla reiterated his call for a massive attendance, highlighting the involvement of PLU’s local leadership in organizing the proceedings.

“I call upon all citizens of Uganda, people of Wakiso, people of Central Uganda, please join us as we endorse General Museveni,” Twalla urged.

The rally is the latest in a series of district barazas organized by PLU nationwide.
