Zari Hassan Defends Spending Habits, Highlights Secret Charity Work Amidst Criticism

Socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan has publicly addressed recent criticisms leveled against her by fellow personality Full Figure, who questioned Zari’s lavish spending and her commitment to charity.

Full Figure had suggested that Zari’s substantial expenditure on personal celebrations could be better directed towards supporting the less fortunate. However, Zari, in a statement shared on her social media, rebuked this sentiment, describing it as a form of entitlement over others’ earnings.

“Everyone knows how they work for their money, how they suffer to get it. So, if they decide to help you, well and good and if they do not, it is not also a bad thing. Please stop the entitlement,” Zari stated, emphasizing that individuals have the right to spend their hard-earned money as they see fit.

Addressing the claims that she doesn’t engage in charitable activities, Zari revealed a significant, albeit private, commitment to helping vulnerable populations. She detailed her involvement in charity initiatives across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa. Notably, she mentioned adopting an orphanage in South Africa, supporting approximately 76 children through her company.

Zari further explained her philosophy on publicizing good deeds, stating, “I will not come out to explain myself or always show off because you call me stingy. If I have not given you, it doesn’t mean that I do not give someone else.” She highlighted that she supports several children in Kampala without seeking public recognition.

This exchange underscores a broader conversation about the transparency of charitable work among wealthy public figures and how their financial decisions are perceived by the public.
