MP Bisaso Joins Regional Leadership Exchange in Kenya and Tanzania

Kassanda South Member of Parliament, Abdul Bisaso, is currently representing Uganda on a significant one-week regional leadership exchange trip. He is among a 25-member Ugandan delegation visiting Kenya and Tanzania as part of the MP Connect Fellowship, an initiative organized by Faraja Africa.

This fellowship is designed to foster leadership development among young and emerging leaders. It provides a platform for regional learning, focusing on strengthening parliamentary engagement, expanding networks, and promoting cross-border cooperation.

In Nairobi, Kenya, the delegation met with members of the Kenyan Parliament and Senate. These engagements offered valuable insights into legislative processes, leadership within parliamentary structures, and effective institutional collaboration.

The delegation’s itinerary includes further stops in Dar es Salaam and Arusha, Tanzania, continuing the focus on regional exchange and shared learning.

For MP Bisaso, this visit is a crucial opportunity to connect with fellow leaders from across East Africa. He aims to gain exposure to diverse governance approaches, enhance parliamentary work, and identify potential strategies for development within his constituency of Kassanda South.

His participation also highlights important issues concerning young people, such as youth empowerment, skills development, ensuring adequate representation, and exploring avenues for enhanced regional cooperation.

The MP Connect Fellowship emphasizes peer-to-peer learning and networking, creating a valuable space for participants to share experiences and build lasting connections throughout the East African community.

As the trip progresses in Tanzania, Bisaso is expected to engage in more activities focused on leadership and regional collaboration before returning to Uganda.
