Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba Gifts Uganda Media Centre a New Pickup Truck

Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, in his capacity as Chief of Defence Forces and Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, has provided the Uganda Media Centre (UMC) with a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser pickup truck. The vehicle is intended to significantly bolster the UMC’s ability to conduct its operations, particularly for extended travel throughout Uganda.

The handover ceremony saw the vehicle delivered on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Representing the Chief of Defence Forces, the Acting Director of Defence Public Information, Colonel Chris Magezi, presented the keys to the UMC’s Executive Director, Alan Kasujja.

Colonel Magezi highlighted that the donation exemplifies the strong working relationship and inter-agency cooperation within the government. He stated that this collaboration is crucial for improving service delivery and reinforcing transparency and accountability across all government sectors.

“The CDF has donated this brand new utility vehicle to Uganda Media Centre to support their operations across the country. This is part of the continued inter-agency cooperation to enhance service delivery,” Colonel Magezi remarked during the handover.

He further affirmed the commitment of the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) to assisting other government entities in achieving their respective mandates.

Upon receiving the vehicle, Alan Kasujja expressed his gratitude to Gen. Muhoozi for the timely support. He emphasized that the new pickup truck would be instrumental in improving their field operations, especially for assignments requiring extensive travel.

“We are grateful to the Chief of Defence Forces for this donation. This pickup will go a long way in boosting our operations, especially when we have to travel long distances across the country,” Kasujja said.
