Attorney General Urges Ugandans to Prioritize God Over Wealth

Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka has implored citizens to elevate their spiritual pursuits above the relentless chase for material riches. He articulated that a strong connection with God cultivates better morals, discourages unlawful actions, and ultimately contributes to a more peaceful society.

Mayanja shared these sentiments during a prayer service at Caring Hearts Church in Wakiso, where he expressed gratitude for divine blessings, including his unexpected appointment as Attorney General. He noted that many individuals today are excessively focused on acquiring wealth, often to the detriment of their spiritual lives.

“Many people today are not seeking God; they are seeking wealth. But even when they get that wealth, if they do not hold on to God, it can disappear,” Mayanja stated, addressing the congregation. He further encouraged the faithful to make God the primary focus in all their endeavors, suggesting this would positively influence their personal conduct and bolster national peace.

His message underscored the vital role that spiritual values play in shaping individual character and promoting ethical decision-making within the community. The Attorney General’s exhortation highlighted the belief that a God-centered approach can lead to improved behavior and a more harmonious coexistence among Ugandans.

Pastor Paul Musisi of Caring Hearts Church acknowledged Mayanja’s spiritual outreach and encouraged the Christian community to remain steadfast in their faith, trusting in God’s guidance and upliftment. He thanked the Attorney General for his public acknowledgment of God’s significance in his own life.
