Witness claims guns planted in Besigye's Nairobi arrest

During the ongoing treason trial involving Dr. Kizza Besigye, Obeid Lutale, and Capt. Denis Oola, a prosecution witness has made a significant claim regarding the circumstances of Besigye’s arrest in Nairobi. The witness, identified as Andrew Wilson, also known as Orlando, asserted in High Court that the two pistols purportedly found at the scene were planted.

Wilson, testifying under cross-examination by the defense team, alleged that the firearms were part of a deliberate intelligence operation. He specifically described how the two pistols were allegedly placed on a counter, positioned near the entrance of the apartment where Dr. Besigye and his aide, Obeid Lutale, were taken into custody.
