Tooro King-designate Reorganizes Communications, Appoints New PPS

Prince Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma, the designated heir to the Tooro throne, is streamlining his official communications in preparation for his upcoming enthronement. He has appointed Fr. Nyakaana Paul Busingye Akiiki as his interim Principal Personal Secretary (PPS) and spokesperson.

This appointment, effective immediately, signals a strategic move to manage the flow of information surrounding his transition to the throne. The decision was formalized in a statement released on September 15th.

In addition to the new appointment, Prince Kijanangoma, also known as Nyabongo I, has terminated his official social media accounts. This move is intended to consolidate his communication strategy and ensure a more controlled and focused public presence as he prepares to assume his royal duties.

The reorganization of his communication team and channels is seen as a crucial step in preparing for the official enthronement ceremony, though details regarding the ceremony itself have not yet been fully disclosed. The appointment of an interim PPS and spokesperson will help manage public inquiries and disseminate official statements accurately.
