Nakawa Youth Hail Museveni, Barekye for Wealth Creation Support

Residents of Nakawa Division who are participants in the Youth Wealth Creation Programme have voiced their appreciation for the initiative, attributing their business growth and enhanced livelihoods to President Yoweri Museveni and State House Controller Jane Barekye.

Beneficiaries stated that the start-up capital provided through the program has been instrumental in establishing, strengthening, and expanding their small-scale businesses. This financial assistance has directly translated into improved daily lives and increased income generation for their families.

Officials from the State House, including the coordinator of the Youth Wealth Creation Programme, Faizol Ndase, recently conducted a monitoring exercise in Nakawa. The team visited various areas such as Mutungo, Luzira, Kasokoso, Bugolobi, and Kitintale to assess how the disbursed funds have been utilized.

Approximately 250 individuals in Nakawa Division have benefited from the programme. Many shared testimonials, explaining how the initial capital injection was essential for their business development, a feat they found challenging to achieve independently. The support has enabled them to generate more income and even create additional employment opportunities.

Coordinator Faizol Ndase encouraged the beneficiaries to remain dedicated to their enterprises and to continue using the resources wisely. He assured them of the President’s commitment to supporting Ugandans and hinted at further interventions in the pipeline.

Ndase also announced plans for the Youth Wealth Creation Programme to extend its reach to other regions across the country, recognizing the positive impact observed among current beneficiaries. The monitoring exercise aimed to document this progress and understand the broader contribution of the program to economic well-being.
