A shocking case of murder and robbery has seen a 21-year-old woman, Patricia Rose Turindwamukama, brought before the City Hall Court. She faces charges related to the death of Jovia Namuwulya, a popular TikTok content creator and waitress. Namuwulya was discovered dead in her rented room in Bukoto, Kampala, after relatives grew concerned over her unresponsiveness.
According to prosecution, Turindwamukama and an unidentified accomplice are alleged to have caused Namuwulya’s death on the night of August 20, 2026, with malice aforethought. The indictment also includes accusations of aggravated robbery, with the theft of Namuwulya’s iPhone, clothing, and passport.
Relatives alerted the building’s caretaker when they could not reach Namuwulya. Upon investigation, the caretaker and Namuwulya’s sister discovered bloodstains through the window before gaining entry to find the TikTok star deceased in a pool of blood.
Police indicated that Turindwamukama, described as Namuwulya’s friend, had reportedly been staying with her. Authorities state that Turindwamukama allegedly fled the scene but was later apprehended. The court informed the accused that it lacked the jurisdiction to handle the murder and aggravated robbery charges and advised her to pursue bail at the High Court. The case has been adjourned for mention on September 24.
