Ugandan musician Aroma has opened up about the deep emotional scars left by the loss of her father and two siblings. In a recent interview, she described the overwhelming sense of loneliness that now permeates her life, stating, “The loneliness is always too loud.”

These significant losses have fundamentally altered how Aroma navigates relationships. The singer confessed that the repeated experience of people leaving her life has fostered a sense of anticipation that others will eventually depart as well. “It’s like people coming into my life and they leave. Of course you are going to leave. My brothers died. They left me behind,” she shared.

Aroma acknowledges that there is no easy way to overcome such profound grief. Instead, she has learned to adapt and live with the pain on a daily basis. “You don’t escape. You just learn to live with it every day,” she explained.

Adding to her personal struggles, Aroma also touched upon the intense demands of a career in music, describing it as an endeavor that is financially, emotionally, and physically draining. When questioned about whether music remains a worthwhile pursuit given her experiences, the singer offered a hesitant and uncertain response: “I don’t know.”

Seeking solace away from the pressures of her career, Aroma retreats into her introverted nature, finding comfort in phone conversations with friends and watching movies.
