Bishop Stuart University has made a significant decision to offer special supplementary examinations, creating a pathway for final-year students to graduate in October 2026 despite having outstanding retake papers. The University Senate approved this special sitting during a meeting on September 1, 2026, aiming to help eligible students meet their academic requirements for the upcoming 22nd Graduation Ceremony.
This exceptional opportunity is strictly for students expected to graduate in October who have one or two retake papers. To qualify, undergraduate students must have previously scored between 30% and 49% in the failed course(s), while graduate students need to have scored between 40% and 59%.
Furthermore, candidates must maintain a clean disciplinary record, with no pending cases of examination malpractice. Their retake status must also be officially verified and confirmed by their respective faculties. Students are urged to act quickly, as the deadline for registration and verification is September 12, 2026.
Eligible students will need to pay a non-refundable fee of Shs250,000 per paper. This special examination session is a one-time arrangement to facilitate timely graduation for those who meet the stringent criteria. No late registrations will be accommodated.
This initiative provides a much-needed chance for students to avoid delays in their graduation, which would typically occur if they had to wait for the subsequent academic year to retake their examinations.
