Katikkiro Mayiga Offers Support to Injured Next Media's Macona

Buganda Kingdom’s Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, made a visit to Case Hospital on Tuesday evening to see Brian Ssemanda, a presenter at Next Media, more widely recognized as Macona. Ssemanda is currently recuperating at the hospital following a tragic accident that resulted in the deaths of his colleagues, Badru Kasirye and Isaac Ndamagye.

During his visit, Katikkiro Mayiga conveyed a message of hope, noting that Ssemanda’s condition shows promise for recovery. He observed that Ssemanda is conscious and able to comprehend, though he is still experiencing discomfort from his injuries.

“The most crucial aspect now is for Macona to maintain composure, refrain from unnecessary worries, and diligently follow the medical professionals’ advice. This will facilitate a smooth recovery and his eventual return to broadcasting,” Mayiga stated.

The Katikkiro also took the opportunity to extend his deepest sympathies to the families of the late Badru Kasirye and Isaac Ndamagye. He offered prayers for the eternal rest of the departed souls and beseeched divine comfort for their grieving families during this challenging period.

Brian Ssemanda continues to receive dedicated medical attention at Case Hospital as he undergoes treatment for the injuries he sustained in the accident.
