Sheilah Gashumba Defends Boyfriend Alex Amidst Public Scrutiny

Socialite Sheilah Gashumba has publicly addressed remarks made by content creator Evelyn Mic concerning her relationship with boyfriend Alex. Gashumba stated that while she understands and accepts being a subject of public discussion due to her celebrity status, she believes her private partner should be shielded from such commentary.

Following Evelyn Mic’s comments, which reportedly suggested a breakup, Gashumba rejected an apology, arguing that the damage was already done by involving her boyfriend in the public discourse. “It’s okay to talk about me because I am a public figure, but I know my rights. However, talking about Alex isn’t right,” Gashumba asserted.

The discussion also touched upon the perceived age difference between Gashumba and Alex. She defended Alex, noting that his age should not make him a target for online criticism. Gashumba highlighted that Alex operates primarily in business and does not lead a lifestyle similar to that of social media personalities.

“I know they see that he is young because our age gap is about three or four years. But this is a businessperson who isn’t dealing with people like Evelyn Mic, he is dealing with big, proper Ugandan businessmen,” she explained. Gashumba reiterated that continued public interest in her relationship is expected, but she maintains a firm stance on protecting her partner’s privacy from online speculation.

This comes as the public continues to show significant interest in the couple’s relationship. Gashumba insists that while she embraces her role as a public figure, the same level of scrutiny should not be applied to her boyfriend.
