Nakaseke Police Seek Farm Worker in Colleague's Fatal Stabbing
Police in Nakaseke District are searching for a farm worker suspected of fatally stabbing his colleague following a dispute. Police in Nakaseke District have initiated a search for a farm worker identified as Nicholas Kabandize, who is alleged to have murdered his colleague, Emmanuel Ainemukama, on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred in Magoma Village, Kikamulo Sub-county, at Herbert’s Farm.
Ainemukama, 30, served as the manager of the farm where both he and the suspect resided. According to Savannah Region Police Spokesperson, ASP Sam Twiineamazima, the attack took place around 2:00 PM as the victim was preparing herbicides.
The suspect reportedly used a sharp object to inflict multiple wounds on Ainemukama, with significant injuries noted on the left wrist, before fleeing the scene. A farm colleague discovered the injured manager and alerted the authorities at Kiwoko Town Council Police Station.
Officers arrived to process the scene, collect witness statements, and have opened a murder investigation. A search for the weapon used in the assault was unsuccessful.
Initial findings suggest that Kabandize and Ainemukama were not only co-workers but also shared accommodation. Investigators have learned that Kabandize had allegedly made prior threats against Ainemukama due to an ongoing personal disagreement.
The body of the deceased has been transported to Nakaseke General Hospital for a postmortem examination. Police are urging the public to report any information regarding Kabandize’s whereabouts to the nearest police station. ASP Twiineamazima cautioned the public against vigilantism as the investigation continues.
