Comedian Kapere Alleges Witchcraft by Colleagues Amidst Financial Woes

Comedian Alphonse Kasirye, widely known as Kapere, has publicly shared his struggles, alleging that some of his peers in the comedy industry employed witchcraft to cause him harm. Speaking during a recent TikTok Live session, Kapere revealed that he has been enduring numerous personal and financial difficulties, though he typically keeps these issues private.

He explained that his attempts to diversify his income through other business ventures have consistently failed, leaving him with few options. “I have so many problems. I have never lamented, but sometimes it gets too much. The industry is dead. You decide to do some other business to feed yourself, but it also fails. I was told some comedians must have bewitched me,” Kapere stated.

The persistent lack of comedy shows has exacerbated his financial strain, making it challenging to cover essential expenses like rent and school fees for his children. Despite these hardships, Kapere expressed gratitude towards events promoter Abitex for his reliable support and payment to comedians whenever shows are organized.

“I wish Abitex had a show every week because he pays. If he had a show every week, we would be living a better life,” he commented, underscoring the critical need for consistent performance opportunities in the entertainment sector.
