Nyombi Thembo, the Executive Director of the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), has singled out contemporary musician John Blaq for his exceptional vocal talent. The UCC boss described John Blaq’s voice as one of the most distinctive in Uganda’s music scene.

During a recent interview with local media, Thembo shared his admiration for the singer’s deep and resonant vocals. He believes this unique quality is a significant factor that distinguishes John Blaq from many of his peers in the industry. “Creatives need to be unique and bring something new to stand out. I am impressed by John Blaq. He has a unique voice, and I want to meet him and see what we can do for him. His voice is something else,” Thembo stated.

Themed around the importance of originality, Thembo also extended advice to aspiring and established Ugandan musicians. He urged them to prioritize the development of their individual artistic identities rather than merely imitating prevailing trends.
