Singer Cindy Sanyu, widely known as “King Herself,” has shared her perspective on the unique obstacles faced by women in industries predominantly occupied by men.

Sanyu explained in a recent interview that women are often held to a higher standard, with their missteps being scrutinized far more intensely than those of men. She noted that societal norms tend to offer more leniency towards men when they err.

“The world excuses men a lot compared to women. So I learned that even small mistakes made by a woman can affect her so much,” Sanyu remarked, highlighting a critical lesson from her early career.

Despite these hurdles, the “King Herself” expressed no regret over her choices. She firmly believes her achievements are a direct result of diligent work and unwavering integrity, rather than succumbing to easy routes. “When I sit in my seat, I adjust myself comfortably because I know I didn’t use any shortcuts to get here,” Sanyu concluded.
