Maganjo B Village LC1 Chairperson, Hajj Jabeli Musoke, Passes Away

The community of Maganjo B Village is in mourning following the death of its LC1 Chairperson, Hajj Jabeli Musoke. He passed away on Tuesday morning at Mulago National Referral Hospital after a brief battle with pneumonia.

Musoke was transferred to Mulago from Mengo Hospital, where he had been admitted on Sunday following a sudden illness. His death comes as a profound shock, occurring on the very day he was scheduled to officially kick off his campaign for re-election.

A dedicated public servant, Hajj Jabeli Musoke had led Maganjo B Village for over four decades. He recently expressed his commitment to continued service, signifying his intention to seek another term on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket.

Fellow residents and local leaders gathered at his home to offer condolences to his grieving family. Village secretary Mary Tumusime noted that Musoke appeared in good health during the nomination process just days prior, stating, “He was in good health during the nominations on Friday. Today, he was supposed to begin campaigning for votes, but unfortunately, God had other plans.”

Residents fondly remember Musoke as an approachable and committed leader who served the village diligently for many years. His unexpected death has left a significant void and disrupted the upcoming village elections, with many expressing their disappointment at the loss of a trusted figurehead.
