President Museveni to Lead Parliament in Honoring Gen. Moses Ali

Parliament is preparing to hold a special sitting to honor the significant contributions of the late Gen. (Rtd) Moses Ali, a veteran politician and military officer. President Yoweri Museveni is expected to join Members of Parliament in this solemn occasion.

The tribute session is scheduled for Tuesday morning, with legislators urged to arrive early to facilitate security procedures ahead of the President’s attendance.

Following the parliamentary homage, Gen. Ali’s remains will be transported to Adjumani district, his ancestral home, for a final burial ceremony slated for Wednesday. Gen. Ali served Uganda in various capacities for several decades, leaving a lasting legacy.

His passing has been met with widespread tributes from across the political spectrum and the public, reflecting his long and impactful career in public service. The parliamentary sitting is anticipated to be a key national event marking the end of an era.

In the days following his death, special funeral prayers were held for the respected statesman, with large gatherings reported at several prominent mosques and institutions in Kampala.
