Injured Aspirant Nominated from Hospital Bed for LC I Elections

Emmanuel Sakoosi, an aspirant for the position of LC I Chairperson in Busimbi Kasimbi Village, Mityana Municipality, has achieved a significant milestone by being officially nominated for the upcoming village elections. His nomination took place on Monday, demonstrating remarkable determination as he is currently recovering from severe injuries sustained in a road accident.

Sakoosi, who had expressed his intention to run before the accident, was transported from Mulago National Referral Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment, to the Busimbi Division headquarters for the nomination process. The LC I elections are slated for July 28th.

Speaking after his nomination, Sakoosi conveyed his gratitude for his survival and assured his supporters of his well-being and continued commitment. “I thank God for giving me another chance at life. Although I am still recovering, my spirit remains strong. I ask my supporters to remain calm and continue supporting me because I believe we shall achieve victory together,” he stated. He reiterated his dedication to serving the residents of Busimbi Kasimbi.

Nuuhu Kalamwa, former Speaker of Busimbi Division, hailed Sakoosi’s nomination as a testament to his resilience and dedication to public service.
