A significant medical outreach event took place at Muterere Health Centre III in Bugiri District on July 18, 2026, benefiting more than 1,000 residents. The initiative was a joint effort between the Shincheonji Church of Jesus and the Busoga Kingdom.

The health camp, operating under a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organizations, saw a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, specialists, and pharmacists. They offered free medical consultations, diagnostic services, treatments, and crucial health education to attendees.

Community health screenings were a key component, focusing on the early detection and management of various illnesses. Additionally, 150 individuals received complimentary prescription glasses, a gesture aimed at enhancing their vision and overall quality of life.

An instructor from the Shincheonji Church of Jesus stated that the outreach was inspired by the core teachings of Chairman Man Hee Lee, emphasizing the importance of serving humanity with love and compassion. The instructor explained that just as nature provides essential elements freely, they aim to give back to the world.

Local officials praised the collaboration. Martha Nambooza, Secretary for Social Services in Bugiri District, highlighted how the event brought much-needed healthcare closer to the community, recognizing that high costs and distance to facilities are significant barriers for many.

Healthcare professionals present stressed the value of regular health screenings for early disease detection and encouraged residents to prioritize routine check-ups for better health outcomes.

This successful collaboration underscores the shared dedication of Shincheonji Church of Jesus and the Busoga Kingdom in enhancing healthcare access and fostering community health through humanitarian efforts.
